Emergency Call Routing

Most countries have one number, 112, for emergency calls to the police, fire brigade and ambulance. Different Alarm Centres are dedicated to serve certain areas, to provide fast and effective service in cases of emergency.

Invite Networks’ Emergency Call Routing is a service for identifying the origin and handling the routing of emergency calls such as 112 to police, fire brigade and ambulance to the appropriate alarm centre. It gives the Voice Service Provider the possibility to handle emergency calls from all types of users and send the correct routing number and information either to the next carrier or route the call directly to the appropriate alarm centre.

Invites’ application can look at the CLI, area code or zip code to determine the nearest Alarm Centre. Alternatively an interface for this type of input via the existing CRM system can be provided. This is compulsory in many countries. Adaptations are made to comply with market specific and regulatory requirements.

Invite’s ECR service can be combined with the Number Portability service, for detecting when an Alarm Centre number has been ported.
