Internal Routing
For Voice Service Providers with several network elements, Invite’s service can be used to make the call routing within the own network more effective and allow the use of internal trunks when possible rather than transiting calls externally. The routing information could for example be based on the own Client Database.
Example. A Voice Service Provider has several soft switches and/or proxy servers with directly connected end users. Invite makes a lookup for all originating and terminating calls and in the cases that the call should terminate internally, an appropriate routing prefix is added and the call can be terminated directly at the correct location. Internal resources are spared and "tromboning" effects are avoided.
This can be fully integrated with Invite´s Number Portability and ENUM services for an optimal solution.
