IMS - IP Multimedia Subsystem
IMS aims to improve interoperability between VoIP and TDM networks and converge fixed and mobile networks. This is already one of Inabler's specialities and our iNode platform is fully compatible with the IMS architecture, where it provides service control as an Application Server. It interacts with the Call Session Control Function. For DNS queries such as ENUM, the iNode would function as the S-CSCF.
Inabler is already involved in IMS development projects with major telecom operators and today our iNode platform supports a range of applications including Number Portability Routing, Access Screening, Freephone, Call Barring, One Number - all which are easily deployed in an IMS network.
Inabler's iNode platform uses the SIP-T protocol to support both VoIP and TDM networks. For our existing customers, current applications and interfaces can be updated to fit the IMS infrastructure.
