Invite Networks use the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol for signalling. Our iNode platform acts as a Redirect or Proxy server in your network. Although SIP is primarily used in setting up and tearing down voice or video calls it can be used in Invite Networks VoIP routing services as well. All voice and video communications are made over separate transport protocols, typically RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol). These are not handled by Invite Networks.
