Routing Parameters
The routing information that is sent back to the operator’s network differs depending on the service and the Service Provider’s needs. In most cases, one of the following parameters are sent back as routing information:
| Parameter | Example |
| E.164 number | 00468331400 |
| ENUM-address | 0.0.4.1.3.3.8.6.4.e164.arpa |
| SIP-address | sip:name@domain.com |
| Operator ID | Operator ID for ported and non-ported numbers |
| SIP-address | sip:name@10.226.228.25 |
There are virtually no limitations to the application logic. In most cases, there is just a simple database look-up performed. That is the case with Number Portability and VoIP peering.
However Invite Networks can create services that block or route calls differently depending on time and day, media (voice or video call) data from external databases or customer web input. There are also IVR capabilities and many other features available.
